Why is it this way and / or how do you destroy all enemy stacks when fighting manual? Oh also, when you manual fight, you might lose some stacks yourself, whereas in auto resolve, most of the time you dont lose any of your stacks, the damage you take is equally distributed to your entire army, which adds another advantage to AR.Īt this point I cant see a reason to manual fight despite wanting to do it.

So even though manual battles is more fun and a major part of the game, auto resolve is simply tactically better, because when I do manual I have to chase and fight the same army 2-3 times until its completely destroyed. Whereas when I do auto resolve, the entire enemy army is destroyed, I wont have to worry about chasing them and can move right away to other threats or to enemy towns. That means the enemy has a much weaker army, but they still have an army that I need to keep chasing, or they just ♥♥♥♥ things up in undefended little towns. Whenever I do a manual battle and win, most of the enemy stacks dont get destroyed, they just rout and I cant catch and smash the entire stack. I want to fight the battles manually, BUT,

So I am on my first playthrough, playing Dwarves, normal map normal battle difficulty.Īt war with pretty much every Ork faction, armies coming from all directions, whenever I am close to destroying a faction, Greenskins make a confederation with them and get the territory.
